Qualifications: •Minimum of a B.S. degree or higher in materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, polymer engineering, welding engineering, geology/geosciences and mining engineering or related field. •Will have earned their degree within the last year and able to start by Fall 2027. •Relevant internship/co-op and/or hands-on experience that demonstrate development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities. •Demonstrated capacity to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion. •Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs. •Self-driven with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction. •MS in materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, polymer engineering, welding engineering, geology/geosciences and mining engineering or related technical subject area. •Operational familiarity with standard methods for testing mechanical properties (including fatigue, fracture, creep, stress rupture) of metallic and soft materials. •Familiarity and interest in at least one of the following areas: friction stir welding and spin forming; mining and geophysical exploration; metallurgy and how it relates to processes such as casting and forging; metallic additive manufacturing (laser power bed) and its application to production hardware •We are solving challenging, new problems and we need people to represent a wide variety of perspectives.
