Required Skills: •Evaluate production tasks and drawings to ensure we meet all the CTF metrics, creating tools, fixtures or gauges for production and quality to create the environment where our quality standards are met and exceeded every single time. •Interface directly with production and quality to walk the process to a successful implementation of the new tools, fixtures and gauges. •Through data analysis, identify opportunities for improvements in productivity, quality, material flow, safety, quality, and cost. Prioritize actions to be taken, establish schedules for completion, and implement the necessary measures to realize savings. •Lead and oversee the implementation of key elements of Lean, such as: Standardized Work Instructions, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen/5S •Conduct time studies and audits as appropriate to validate and adjust labor estimates to reflect actual costs. •Interface directly with vendors in determining product specifications and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications. •Facilitate and/or lead cross-functional teams with Engineering, Production and Estimating in support of driving efficiencies and eliminating non-value-added activities. •Partner cross-functionally with design engineering in concurrent engineering efforts to ensure manufacturability. Proactively identifying opportunities for improved manufacturability and coordinating implementation with design engineering and operations personnel. Qualifications: •Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Industrial / Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, or other related roles in a heavy/industrial manufacturing environment. •Operational familiarity with Fabrication, Welding & Assembly processes. •High proficiency in Blueprint reading and P&ID interpretation. •Good understanding of, and experience in implementing LEAN initiatives •Relevant experience in a make to order/engineer to order project environment. •Most work will be performed sitting at a desk, but some work performed will be in a shop environment. •Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable. •Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials. •Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach. •The use of Safety Glasses is required.
