Required Skills: •Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for oil and gas and heavy fabrication components to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput. •Partner cross-functionally with design engineers to review drawings and models using CADD to ensure manufacturability and adherence to ASME codes and company standards. •Create and maintain work instructions, process flows, tooling specifications, and control plans for production lines and fabrication shops. •Lead process validation, first-piece approvals, and root-cause analysis for production issues; implement corrective actions and preventive measures. •Support equipment selection, layout, and installation; define fixturing, tooling, and gauging requirements to meet production and quality targets. •Partner with quality, procurement, and shop floor teams to ensure materials, welding, and fabrication practices meet ASME and project specifications. •Train production staff and contractors on processes, safety practices, and inspection criteria to ensure consistent execution and compliance. •Manage production trials, pilot runs, and scale-up activities for new products and engineered assemblies. Qualifications: •Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. •Proficiency with CADD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) for interpreting and reviewing fabrication drawings and models. •Strong knowledge of ASME codes and standards (e.g., ASME Section VIII, B31.3) and experience applying them to design and fabrication processes. •Applied hands-on capability in welding, machining, forming, and assembly processes used in heavy fabrication shops. •Solid understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, inspection methods, and quality control practices. •Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills; ability to work cross-functionally and mentor production personnel. •Willingness to work in a shop-floor environment and participate in field support or site commissioning as required.
