Hiring: Manufacturing Engineer (Mid-Level, or Senior) Company: Spirit AeroSystems Location: Wichita, KS Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 13:58:52 Employment Type: On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Aerospace Engineering, Assembly, CATIA, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SAP About the job Experience: •5+ years of related engineering experience •9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Required Skills: •Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, and supply teams to develop and guide the program manufacturing and tooling plan •Ensures the identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and improves manufacturing processes in support of the type design •Uses process engineering principles and techniques •Develops, establishes, and guides requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, and manufacturing configurations •Performs trade and cost studies and assists in leading integrated product and process teams •Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures Qualifications: •Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program •Has experience Designing manufacturing processes and selecting tooling/components to meet product specifications and production goals. •Led cross-functional problem-solving efforts and provided daily production engineering support to ensure efficient operations. •Senior (Level 4): 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience •Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - interface with customers and suppliers •Knowledge of engineering systems and the ability to deploy the Continuous Improvement Toolset - Seven Wastes etc. •Detailed knowledge of design methods both on 2D and 3D design platforms with excellent drawing/design interpretation skills •Creating and maintaining production control documents. •In-depth knowledge of metallic & composite manufacturing techniques & treatment processes.
