Hiring: Manufacturing Engineer (Machining) Company: SpaceX Location: Hawthorne, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 10:36:46 Employment Type: Internship / Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly, CAD About the job Experience: •Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) experience •Design for manufacturability and assembly experience •Pareto analysis, root cause, and corrective action experience Required Skills: •Provide engineering support for product design and process improvements to improve manufacturing efficiency, ensure product quality, and lower costs for new and existing products •Analyze and disposition recurring manufacturing discrepancies and interface with the quality team on root cause analysis and corrective actions •Create and manage manufacturing BOMs, work instructions, and specifications •Communicate on a daily basis with supporting departments such as production, machining, maintenance, quality, and design engineering to ensure that product is delivered on time to the correct quantities •Use project management skills and tools to investigate and lead projects for alternate component technologies for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics •1+ years of of hands-on experience in design, development, manufacturing or test (internship and project team experience is applicable) •Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed •Must be able to work onsite in Hawthorne, CA - remote work not considered •To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. •1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. •1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
