Hiring: Manufacturing Engineer Company: AMETEK Location: Goleta, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 12:57:51 Target Skills & Keywords : Aerospace Engineering, Assembly, AutoCAD, CAD, Microsoft Office, SolidWorks About the job Experience: •2 years of work experience in aerospace manufacturing engineering (or equivalent) minimum Required Skills: •Evaluates and optimizes manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product, manufacturing, assembly, and tooling; conferring with suppliers and machine shops; and soliciting feedback from technicians and engineering •Creates and maintains assembly work instructions, assembly drawings, BOMs, and test procedures for production programs •Supports assembly and testing of product, as well as test procedure and test report documentation. Provides direction and guidance to technicians as needed •Supports the transfer of new products from engineering to production •Troubleshoots issues and non-conformances with product, material, or equipment on the production floor as well as with suppliers and customers •Leads root cause analyses, fishbone studies, and corrective action documentation, communication, and implementation •Research and develop standards and equipment needed to support testing and manufacturing •Develops automated test capabilities to support product design verification and long-term testing Qualifications: •Strong ability to read, interpret, and create technical documents (fluid (P&ID) schematics, mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, bills of material, work instructions, test procedures, safety procedures) •Applied hands-on capability in electromechanical and fluid flow equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, HVAC, AC/BLDC motors, BLDC motor controllers) is a plus •Operational familiarity with aerospace production and test environment is a plus •Highly motivated, accountable, able to work independently with minimal oversight •Strong and effective communication with employees, suppliers and customers •Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, strong ability to adapt and learn new software applications •Position is subject to ITAR restrictions •Bachelor of Science in mechanical or aerospace engineering Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
