Required Skills: •Perform complicated tax research and data analysis to identify and implement tax planning strategies. •Review significant tax elements of GAAP and Statutory accounting and ensure adherence to tax accounting policy. •Manage a significant process, project or process improvements within the Tax Department and ensure timely, accurate and complete performance. •Regularly participate in day-to-day interaction with external parties including but not limited to IRS, external auditors, regulatory bodies and vendors. •Manage external resources including consulting and outsourcing engagements and will indirectly manage others within tax. •Identify potential control weaknesses and take action to remedy. •Lead tax integration efforts for specific subject process or matter. •The above statement of duties is not intended to be all inclusive and other duties will be assigned from time to time. Qualifications: •Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience. •Master's degree in Taxation, JD in Taxation or designation as CPA or CFA. •Demonstrated ability to make good knowledge-based decisions and ability to evaluate situations in the absence of complete information. •Proven ability to interact with, advise and influence peers, senior tax leadership and external parties. •Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate technical tax information into understandable and actionable information. •Demonstrated capacity to prioritize workload and manage most conflicts to successful resolution.
