Hiring: Manager - Risk Process & Controls (Special Situations) Company: Bain Capital Location: Boston, MA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-12 11:37:56 Target Skills & Keywords : Agile, CFA, Microsoft Office, Swift, Vendor Management, Visio About the job Experience: •6+ years of experience in operations, risk, controls, or fund administration within an alternative investment management or financial services organization Required Skills: •Own and manage BCSS fund-specific audit cycles end-to-end, including SOC1, Kaufman AUP Quarterly Review, Eisner Surprise Count, Mercer ASIT, SWIFT, and Annual Financial Statement Audits; serve as the primary point of coordination with internal stakeholders and external auditors •Own the annual and ongoing review and update of BCSS Policy and Procedures Manuals •Fund Lifecycle Support •Manage and coordinate new fund/strategy launches and fund wind-down activities, working cross-functionally with finance, legal, compliance, and operations •Maintain fund governance documentation and manage ongoing operational obligations associated with fund entities •Develop and maintain fund workflow process maps to improve operational transparency, streamline processes, and support cross-functional collaboration •Continuously identify opportunities to streamline workflows and build efficiencies across the BCSS operational control environment •Own the ongoing management and annual testing of the Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery program, including documentation, testing logistics, and post-test remediation tracking Qualifications: •Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex, multi-workstream processes from initiation through completion with minimal day-to-day supervision •Solid understanding of fund operations, custody processes, and the operational control environment in an alternative asset management context •Strong communicator with the ability to engage credibly across functions and with external counterparties at varying levels of seniority; exercises sound independent judgment and knows when to escalate •Highly organized with strong attention to detail, consistent follow-through, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving process gaps and control weaknesses •Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with workflow, reporting, or process documentation tools (e.g., Visio) isa plus; familiarity with vendor management and RFP coordination preferred •Four-year college degree required; degree in finance, business, economics, or accounting preferred •CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification a plus Compensation: •$115,000 - $130,000 / year •Competitive benefits and rewards package Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
