This role is dedicated to the Broward market and will be part of and supported by the Quality Division. •Assesses, develops, implements and evaluates department goals that align with the hospital goals on a yearly basis. •Develops, implements, and monitors quality improvement programs to enhance quality, safety and patient experience. •Acts as resource person to administrative team and department leaders. Ensures clinical risk management functions are coordinated. •Communicates the department's needs, requirements, available services and information to internal and external customers. •Maintains oversight responsibility for all performance improvement activities conducted throughout the institution. •Leads efforts to promote a culture of safety; Investigate safety events and ensure that root cause analysis is completed. Qualifications: •Registered Nurse Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC) – maintain active and in good standing throughout employment •Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification required within 18 months of hire •Master's Degree preferred. •CPHQ preferred at time of hire. •Five years clinical experience in a hospital setting, pediatrics preferred. •Knowledge of applicable Florida/federal statutes. •Knowledge of data analysis and statistics. •Skilled in quality improvement tools and practices. •Knowledge of Peer Review practices. •Knowledge of internal and public quality score-carding and benchmarking.
