Required Skills: •Lead certification planning for new product designs across all target markets (Americas, EU, UK, and rest of world). •Communicate at all levels: translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for audiences from design engineers to Senior Executives, and present executive updates on NPD compliance status and risks. •Hold the line on product safety: serve as the firm voice of safety in program decisions, pushing back when designs or schedules put compliance at risk while always offering a practical path forward. •Manage and conduct design and construction reviews for risk analysis and mitigation; participate in and facilitate DFMEA activities. •Project-manage safety and compliance activities: define deliverables, own certification timelines and lab resources, and keep concurrent NPD programs on schedule through stage gates. •Lead identification and communication of market access requirements and serve as lead for international product extensions (EU, UK, and rest-of-world programs). •Evaluate marketplace and consumer events for safety risks; design and drive team participation in market surveillance and post-market activities. •Act as principal approver for safety, compliance, and marketing collateral (manuals, rating labels, packaging claims). Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred, or a related engineering discipline). An engineering degree is a firm requirement for this role. •Solid functional working knowledge of the standards and regulations listed above, or directly transferable industry experience. •AI literacy: demonstrated use of AI tools in a professional workflow, with sound judgment about verifying AI-generated output before it enters compliance records. •Highly organized and detail-driven: you track status across many concurrent projects, keep documentation audit-ready, and never let certification milestones or design changes slip. •A communicator at every level: equally effective explaining a creepage-distance issue to a design engineer, a certification risk to a program manager, and a portfolio-level compliance position to senior executives. •Firm on safety, focused on resolution: you stand your ground under program pressure and bring a proposed solution to every escalation — compromising on approach, never on safety. •AI-forward: you embrace new tools, integrate AI into your team's daily work, and coach others to use it well — critically, efficiently, and with engineering rigor. •A people leader: you coach, develop, and hold a high bar for your team while building trust across functions. •Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, delivering creative and technically sound solutions to complex problems. •Analytically minded, driving continuous improvement in compliance processes, tools, and data.
