Hiring: Manager, Planned Giving Operations Company: Barnard College Location: New York, NY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 17:17:11 Employment Type: Full-time / Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Office, Project Management, Salesforce About the job Required Skills: •Direct the Planned Giving operational calendar and coordinate the execution of the gift annuity state filing and compliance schedule to ensure the College remains in good standing across all jurisdictions. •Oversee the tracking system for the estate and life income gifts process and procedure, including preparing gift booking forms; tracking estate, life income and other gift data in CRM. •Serve as the operational liaison to Advancement Services, Finance, and external partners (e.g., State Street Bank, PG Calc), oversee CGA (Charitable Gift Annuity) reporting, and ensure seamless asset transfers. •Lead the preparation for internal and external financial audits; synthesize gift data into actionable reports for department leadership and regulatory bodies. •Manage the technical aspects of estates and life income gifts, overseeing the creation of gift booking forms and ensuring all documentation aligns with CASE standards, as well as legal and government regulations. •Manage specialized logistics for the Vice President and President regarding signature-authority items and notary services for legal gift documents. •Ensure data integrity and accuracy, by requesting donor data lists and reports, updating coding, and adding opportunities and activity reports; and reporting and resolving issues in planned giving related areas. •Stay current in the field of Planned Giving, particularly government regulations and industry guidelines. Qualifications: •Strong project management skills. •Demonstrated capacity to multitask and meet deadlines. •Strong logical, analytical, and organizational skills. •Excellent oral and written communication skills. •Solid conceptual and problem-solving skills. •Demonstrated capacity to deal with the public with patience, diplomacy, and tact. •Demonstrated capacity to exercise good judgment and diplomacy in dealing with estate executors, gift prospects, college administrators, trustees, and alumnae. •Proficient with database management and Microsoft Office. •Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment; collegial work style. •Demonstrated capacity to adhere strictly to rules regarding confidential information.
