Support discovery requests, audits, disclosure preparation, and quarterly and annual financial reporting. •Perform analysis and provide variance explanations to members of management team including CAO, OFD’s, Controller of Utility Operations Accounting, Finance Business Partners, and External Reporting. •Should have experience with and understanding of financial models and regulatory tariffs including: fuel adjustment clauses, capacity riders, and special purpose riders such as storm securitization. •Must provide expert written and oral testimony and respond to discovery before the APSC, MPSC, PUCT, LPSC, FERC and the New Orleans City Council on exact recovery clauses. Should have established relationships with Utility and System planning, Corporate Planning, Accounting, Finance Business Partners, and Jurisdictional Regulatory Groups. •Should have supervisory experience in order to supervise, train and develop a team of professional employees. Also responsible for detailed review, analysis and oversight of filing documents, work papers and other supporting schedules. •Guides, influences and persuades others either internally in other areas or externally with customers or agencies. •Louisiana-New Orleans Louisiana : New Orleans Qualifications: •Minimum education required of the position •Bachelor's Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred. •Minimum Experience Required/desired Of The Position •Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required Of The Position •High proficiency in Microsoft Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Background strong enough to support being an expert witness. Project management skills necessary to meet statutory deadlines as well as the ability to multi-task among multiple filings and jurisdictional requirements.
