Hiring: Manager, Environmental Health & Safety Company: Home Market Foods Location: South Windsor, CT Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:03:22 Target Skills & Keywords : R, Risk Management, Swift About the job Experience: •Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. •In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, MA DEP and other relevant regulations and standards. •In-depth knowledge of risk management principles and incident investigation techniques. •Operational familiarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards is a plus. •Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and compliance requirements, including but not limited to EHS, MA DEP, OSHA, strong knowledge of PSM, and DOT. Required Skills: •Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in line with local, state, and federal regulations. •Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions. •Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and environmental conservation practices. •Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives, making necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement. •Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive measures to minimize future occurrences. •Maintain and update safety data sheets (SDS) and ensure compliance with hazard communication standards. •Partner cross-functionally with cross-functional teams to implement ergonomic solutions, promote wellness initiatives, and mitigate occupational health risks. •Stay updated on relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry best practices, and communicate changes and updates to the organization. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. •Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar professional certification preferred.
