Required Skills: •Develop, organize, implement, and evaluate the College\'s risk management programs (e.g., workers\' compensation, general property and liability insurance) and the College\'s environmental, occupational, and health/safety programs. Ensures compliance with OSHA, ADA, and other related federal, state, and local laws and regulations. •Develop and maintain departmental budgets. Authorize expenditures and prepares budget projections. Work directly with Illinois Community •College Risk Management Consortium to perform insurance needs assessments and coverage levels, and to review and support as appropriate terms of coverage and purchase of insurance plans. •Oversee proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals and biological materials across all College facilities. Continuously monitor for safety code compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Respond to and resolve problems, issues, audit findings, and inquiries regarding hazardous materials management. •Conduct safety inspections of College facilities and enforce adherence to regulations governing the health and safety of individuals and protection of the College environment. Identify all positions within the College that require safety training. •Coordinate the creation of risk management and environmental safety policies, programs and procedures, which includes developing safety and loss control programs and procedures. •Maintain safety, audit, accident, and other pertinent records and statistics on behalf of the College. Maintain and update college web site concerning safety information. •Establish and manage relationships with various risk management and insurance consultants and vendors, including the College\'s broker or agent. Coordinate the process of applying for and renewing insurance coverage consistent with the risk goa Qualifications: •Bachelor\'s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Risk Management, or a related field required.
