Required Skills: •Must be located in the Greater St. Louis area •BJC’s patients have access to the latest advances in medical science and technology through a formal affiliation between Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital with the renowned Washington University School of Medicine, which consistently ranks among the top medical schools in the country. •Lead, coach and manage a team of data visualization engineers, overseeing project delivery, professional development, and adherence to standards in visualization design and engineering. •Partner cross-functionally with business leaders, analysts, data stewards, and enterprise IT teams to gather requirements, define visualization use cases, and ensure solutions align with strategic priorities and data governance practices. •Oversee the design, development, and deployment of enterprise dashboards, visual analytics models, and decision support tools using platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or other leading solutions. •Ensure data quality, performance optimization, and visual consistency across products, establishing and maintaining standards for usability, accessibility, and storytelling with data. •Actively facilitate and support advancement of visualization engineering maturity, including driving adoption of modern data stack tools, enabling user self-service, and evaluating emerging technologies for innovative use. •Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
