Hiring: Maintenance Technician Company: The Planet Group Location: Waltham, MA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 12:17:50 Employment Type: Full-time About the job Required Skills: •We are seeking an experienced to support commercial and industrial facility operations through preventive maintenance, routine inspections, troubleshooting, and general repairs. •The Maintenance Technician will help maintain building systems and equipment reliability while ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for facility occupants. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. •On facility and building equipment. •Conduct routine shift rounds and inspections to identify equipment issues, safety concerns, and maintenance needs. •Monitor and record equipment operating conditions, including temperatures, pressures, vibration, and flow rates. •Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on commercial and industrial building systems. •Assist with more complex repairs and maintenance activities as needed. •Perform filter changes, belt and hose inspections/replacements, lubrication, oil changes, condenser and coil cleaning, and basic mechanical adjustments. Qualifications: •High School Diploma or equivalent required. •Trade school, vocational training, technical certification, or related coursework preferred. •Previous experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance, mechanical maintenance, refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field preferred. •MA Refrigeration Journeyman License required. •Forklift, aerial lift, scissor lift, OSHA, or other trade certifications are a plus.
