Hiring: Maintenance Support Technician 1 (Crew C) - Caldwell, ID Company: Simplot Company Location: Caldwell, ID Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 21:04:26 About the job Experience: •Two years of industrial or food processing mechanical experience required. •Able to perform sound welds in accordance with the qualifications required by applicable welding code, standards, and/or project specifications include wire feed, stick, Heliarc, Oxy-Acetylene and sanitary (food-safe) welds for repair and fabrication required. •Must provide required tools (see tools list). •Combination of education and experience will be considered. •Tool list required to be aquired by incubment offered role, prior to start. Required Skills: •MST Steps will be attainable after meeting all criteria set forth in the qualification skills matrix. The matrix outlines the progression and skills needed to advance from Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3. •Performs preventative maintenance on equipment in their work area(s). •A) Maintains all shop inventories, tools and equipment. Creates, performs and completes work orders in the system as assigned or as needed and prepares kitting when necessary. •B) Coordinates or schedules additional work as needed. •C) Identifies parts needed for work to be done, conducts inventory searches and locates parts. •D) Documents, monitors, maintains, and assists with reporting of shift events, logging Predictive Maintenance data and assists with work planning utilizing information systems and productivity software. •Maintains Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs. •A) Works within safety rules and regulations in actively avoiding injury to self and others. Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree or technical certification preferred.
