Hiring: Maintenance Service Attendant - Fleet Services - Transit Company: City of Greeley Location: Greeley, CO Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 23:44:37 About the job Required Skills: •This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position and is subject to Federal Transit Administration (FTA) drug and alcohol testing requirements in accordance with applicable federal regulations. •M-F - 1:00 - 9:30 p.m. or 1:30 – 10:00 p.m., and 4 hours on alternating Saturdays. •Washes, cleans, and details the interior and exterior of City buses and fleet vehicles to maintain established cleanliness and service standards. •Fuels City buses and other fleet vehicles and performs associated fueling activities in accordance with established safety and operational procedures. •Assists mechanics and technicians with preventive maintenance, routine inspections, minor repairs, and other vehicle service activities. •Transports, delivers, and retrieves City buses and fleet vehicles for maintenance, repair, servicing, or other operational needs. •Transports and relocates buses during emergencies, service disruptions, vehicle breakdowns, severe weather events, or other situations requiring immediate operational support. •Retrieves parts, supplies, tools, and materials and assists with inventory control and organization. Qualifications: •High school diploma or GED required. •Six (6) months to one (1) year vehicle maintenance, fleet operations, transit operations, automotive service, equipment maintenance, or a related field. •Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) training within 3 months of employment. •Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) B with Passenger Endorsement or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment •Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and techniques used in basic mechanical repair of vehicles. •OR Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job, AND Possession of a valid driver’s license. •Previous experience in transit, fleet, automotive, heavy equipment, or municipal/public-sector operations. •Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and servicing practices. •Knowledge of safety procedures related to shop environments, equipment operation, and fueling. •Operational familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in fleet and facility maintenance.
