Hiring: Maintenance Repair Manager Company: Five Below Location: Philadelphia, PA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 13:06:27 Target Skills & Keywords : Pest, Program Management, R About the job Experience: •8+ years of experience in the administration of building maintenance, general contracting, or related construction work, plus similar-sized store fleet (1,500+ stores) and alike on occupancy size 8-9k sq. ft. stores. Required Skills: •Manage the PM expense and repair budget, contribute to vendor performance management and work order flow management, review and process proposals and invoices (approve invoices and maintain budget of all maintenance costs), prepare monthly reports on special projects, and facilitate overall communication to the field. •Manage invoicing and complete in-depth review of invoices through various systems. •Supervise staff and vendors that install, inspect, repair, and maintain building systems, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, water, wastewater, pest control and HVAC systems, including related control systems, promoting expeditious service to complete work orders. •Develop a strong relationship with the store operations team, Regional Directors, District Manager(s), etc., to ensure a productive working environment. •Manage and mentor the team, ensuring technical competence, professional growth, and enhancing their work experience. •Analyze maintenance expenses, including equipment repairs and spare parts inventory, to find ways to cut expenses and enhance efficiency. •Manage the creation, implementation, and management of operational policies and programs. Set up protocols and procedures for departmental tasks, address mechanical and vertical transportation issues, and provide guidance and approvals for departmental activities. •Oversee utility-driven replacement programs and manage the waste removal program for stores. This includes adjusting waste removal service levels, handling expansions to include new stores in the service, and managing any reductions or increases in service as needed. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business administration, or a related field preferred, or a combination of education and experience. •Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasker, self-motivated, independent thinker who is deadline-oriented and works with minimal directions in a fast-paced environment. •Demonstrated capacity to track and report on projects utilizing computerized systems. •Operational familiarity with retail store maintenance practices and ability to review construction documents to identify complex R&M issues or determine the scope of responsibility. •Availability to be on-call as needed.
