Required Skills: •This position is open for external candidates only to apply. •This position will be filled at either the R&D Engineer 1 or 2 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level. •The selected candidate will optimize machinery reliability, safety, and performance by designing preventative maintenance programs, supporting corrective maintenance activities, and aiding in the integration of new equipment. •In addition to what was outlined at level 1, the selected candidate shall also have experience designing, planning and executing complex projects within a manufacturing environment. Qualifications: •Working knowledge applying engineering practices and principles supporting the integration and repair of complex manufacturing equipment. •Solid functional working knowledge of the requirements of an effective preventative maintenance program. •Solid functional working knowledge of CAD software (e.g. Creo, SolidWorks, NX, Catia). •Demonstrated experience writing work instructions, safety documentation, integrated work management documents and other procedures for others to follow in the maintenance of industrial equipment. •Advanced ability to read and interpret machine tool drawings, diagrams and schematics to enable the proper understanding of machine tool subsystem functions and how they integrate into overall performance. •Project Management •Knowledge of and experience in project management for technical or operational work, including the development of project plans, managing scope, schedule, and budget; and identifying and managing risks for projects of limited scope and complexity. •Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities across multiple projects and meeting deadlines. •Demonstrated record of dependability, reliability, and commitment to the long-term needs of the job duties and programmatic goals of the organization. •Strong writing ability and verbal communication skills required to independently prepare and present data and reports to peers, senior colleagues, management, and customers.
