Required Skills: •Operate heavy construction equipment professionally and efficiently to meet production goals. •Perform pre-shift inspections, maintain equipment repair/maintenance records, and ensure records are submitted to your supervisor. •Perform proper workplace examinations to minimize safety hazards and identify mechanical issues •Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. •Must be qualified to work in a safety-sensitive environment. •Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations. •Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement •Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators Qualifications: •Consistent, punctual and reliable attendance •Demonstrates a positive, team-oriented attitude and actively contributes to a collaborative work environment. •Demonstrated capacity to communicate orally and in writing. •Demonstrated capacity to take responsibility for your actions, especially related to safety. •Demonstrated capacity to work in a variety of outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, or rainy conditions). •This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays •Demonstrated capacity to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant •Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required •Know and follow all safety rules and procedures. •Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
