Hiring: Licensing Engineer Company: Blue Energy Location: Chevy Chase, MD Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 10:22:59 Employment Type: On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly About the job Experience: •Desire to learn NRC regulations, licensing processes, and safety standards. •Demonstrated potential to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable tasks. •Good communication (both verbal and written) and time management skills •Demonstrated ability to work on a team Required Skills: •Support Senior Licensing Engineers in executing Blue Energy’s licensing strategy to enable nuclear project development. •Develop written licensing products (e.g., detailed reports on specific technical subjects1 and responses to NRC’s questions). This work will become increasingly more independent as your skill set expands. •Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between regulatory requirements and engineering designs, site selection, and plant construction timelines. •Interface with the NRC and international regulatory bodies (e.g., IAEA, NEA) to address regulatory questions, provide data, and manage requests for additional information. •Participate in workshops, regulatory meetings, audits, and inspections, representing Blue Energy’s interests to ensure smooth and timely licensing.
