Demonstrated hands on experience in developing Terraform frameworks for automated deployments. •5+ years of experience with CDN (Akamai and/or Cloudflare) and load balancing (F5 and/or NGINX). •5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise level technologies implementing cloud native and hybrid solutions. •3+ years of hands-on experience with container technologies in a production environment (e.g. Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes) and related ecosystem products Required Skills: •The Lead Network Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing traffic management technologies that span Visa’s private data center and public cloud environments with an emphasis on CDN, DNS, load balancing and proxy solutions. •This role offers the opportunity to combine architecture definition with hands-on development work as part of providing guidance to project teams on design and deployment related activities. •Senior technology leadership in network engineering, network automation and public cloud environments. •Contribute to the traffic management strategy for Visa’s Private/Hybrid/Public Cloud adoption including long-term network architecture scenarios in collaboration with stakeholders, partners, and customers. •Partner cross-functionally with Cloud, Systems, and Cyber Security Architects to assist in driving our strategy and standards. •Architect, design, and deliver innovative solutions to enable multi-CDN implementation. •Develop standard automation templates for deployment of traffic management infrastructure and platform components. •Use cloud-native approaches for solutions based on business goals, objectives, and requirements, while understanding integration with legacy solutions. Qualifications: •10+ years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience. •12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD Technical Foundation •Demonstrated experience with hand-on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development and deployment in Hybrid Cloud (AWS, Azure and GCP) CDN, load balancing and proxy deployments.
