This position is responsible for the design and evaluation of mechanical systems associated with coal and natural gas fired generation facilities as well as associated support facilities. •Develop cost opinions, work plans, and schedules, as well as conduct and coordinate work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria •Provide leadership guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members. •Regularly meets and corresponds with clients or outside personnel. •Lead mechanical design projects related to natural gas and coal fired generation facilities •Air Quality Control Systems and Effluent Limitation Guideline Management •Hydraulic calculations and associated pump selection, sizing, and application •Pipe and valve selection and sizing Qualifications: •Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred •Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. •This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to a broad area of assignments. •Candidate must be capable of devising new approaches to solve complex problems.
