Hiring: Lead Human Resources Specialist (Human Resource Development) Company: DLA Careers Location: Fort Belvoir, VA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 14:39:50 Employment Type: Full-time About the job Required Skills: •Serves as the Lead Education, Development, Guidance and Engagement (EDGE) Specialist and provides technical leadership for agency workforce development initiatives •Leads a team of Human Resources Specialists by assigning and coordinating work, monitoring progress, and providing guidance on program execution •Plans, administers, and evaluates agency-wide learning, development, and engagement programs in support of organizational objectives •Oversees delivery of EDGE services, systems, tools, and processes, while managing professional development activities and externally provided learning opportunities in accordance with applicable policies •Advises leadership, managers, and other stakeholders on workforce development programs, services, resource management, and organizational needs •Represents the organization in meetings and workgroups with internal and external stakeholders, preparing and delivering briefings, reports, and communications regarding program status and effectiveness Qualifications: •Must be a U.S. citizen •Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal. •Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Exempt •Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. •Selectees are required to have a REAL ID or other acceptable identification documents to access certain federal facilities.
