Hiring: Lead Handler Company: Constellis Location: Chicago, IL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 10:35:13 Employment Type: Contract / On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Cargo About the job Required Skills: •The Lead Handler will be responsible for overseeing the Handlers to ensure cargo screenings are done in compliance with TSA rules and regulations. •Pay rate is compensated at $31-33 per hour •Moyock rate is compensated at fifteen dollars per hour •Provide supervision and training to Handlers and canines at assigned locations •Conduct and oversee authorized representative duties related to X-Ray, physical search, and trace detection as needed •Perform canine training, audits and administrative deliverables as required for assigned Canine Teams •Manage, supervise and coordinate post assignments and schedules for canine Handlers, to include vacation relief that ensure required coverage •Participate in CCSP related training to search cargo and identify threats Qualifications: •Two years of documented experience handling an explosive detection dog in an operational environment preferred •Prior Military or Law Enforcement preferred •Must be able to obtain a Known Traveler Number (KTN), STA, and SIDA within four to six weeks of employment required, and pass all applicable background checks •Must be able to pass the applicable Contract Testing and Certifications for the program within four to six weeks of employment; candidate must maintain the certification requirements •Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization •Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion •Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process •Demonstrated capacity to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
