Hiring: Lead Engineer - Project Solutions (Hybrid Schedule) Company: Eversource Energy Location: Hartford, CT Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 11:23:52 Employment Type: Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : Project Management, Quality Assurance, SCADA, Transformers About the job Experience: •Minimum of eight years in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electrical utility industry.  Supervisory experience preferred. •Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required. •Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. •Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires sitting, standing, walking and climbing stairs are involved.  Job can require traveling to operating districts and companies within and outside the state. •Build trusting relationships Required Skills: •This is a hybrid position and will lead department operations with a key focus on resource management, department workload management and prioritization, internal customer interaction and support, assurance of department quality control. •Supports the overall project lifecycle process across engineering, finance, project management, siting, transmission and distribution operations, system planning, engineering, asset management, cost estimating, etc., to maximize efficiency and quality assurance. •Supports the Eversource Project Approval Committee (EPAC). •Supports the Solution Design Committee (SDC). •Identifies and implements process improvement initiatives related to project lifecycle, EPAC and SDC. •Supports development and maintenance of department tools which manage project authorization through the technical and financial approval process, ensuring timely handoffs and management through Powerplan. •Establishes, track, review and report of KPIs, coordinating with Project Controls, Engineering, Major Projects, Compliance, Siting, Construction and Siting Services etc. •Supplement department individual contributor roles as required. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Substation knowledge is a plus. •Depending on the specific nature of the engineering role, position may require occasional to significant travel by car. A valid driver’s license is required.
