Join our team as our new Lead Acoustical Consultant in California and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future. •Supporting acoustical consulting projects and client relationships •Developing and implementing project execution approaches •Supporting technical analyses related to environmental noise surveys, sound level analyses, computer modeling (CadnaA, SoundPlan, or similar), and mitigation design/specification •Preparing reports and communicating results to clients as well as preparing proposals and fee estimates •Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, provincial, and federal environmental regulations Qualifications: •From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. While we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success. •B.S. or M.S. in an Engineering, Science, or Mathematics related major pluse 6 or more years of experience in acoustical consulting, specifically environmental noise assessment; 2 or more years of experience in environmental noise assessments related to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) •Practical knowledge of the CEQA environmental review process including, but not limited to, Initial Studies (IS) and Environmental Impact Reports (EIR) •LORS (Laws, Ordinances, Regulations, and Standards) assessment experience including California Government Code, municipal codes, General Plan Noise Elements, as well as agencies such as Caltrans and California Energy Commission (CEC). •Technical expertise in assessing impacts of commercial and industrial projects related to noise and vibration emissions associated with construction, traffic, and operational activities and in developing feasible mitigation measures. •Solid spreadsheet, noise modeling, and software tool skills with strong written and oral communication skills •Working familiarity applying acoustical-related industry standards such as ISO and ANSI •Demonstrated experience implementing environmental noise assessments in compliance with NEPA or comparable state or international requirements •What we can offer you •Investment in your development Compensation: •$82,500 - $107,000 / year •Flexible work environment (work from home / hybrid options) •Competitive benefits and rewards package •Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
