Required Skills: •This role leads a team of Reinsurance professionals to develop subject matter expertise on a portfolio of ceded life and annuity reinsurance treaties. This position partners with Finance, Product, and IT teams to operationalize reinsurance transactions, and manage ongoing settlements and reporting. •Develop and maintain deep understanding of reinsurance treaty provisions and serve as a subject matter expert for various inquiries. •Lead a team supporting treaty administration and analysis activities. •Prepare and/or review and analyze monthly and quarterly treaty settlement statements and manage reinsurance receivables and payables with counterparties. •Partner with accounting and financial reporting teams to support financial close processes. •Analyze and monitor actual treaty experience in accordance with corporate risk sharing and retention limits. •Prepare and analyze reinsurance treaty financial results and analyze trends relative to prior periods, annual budget and strategic plans. •Manage and monitor reinsurance claims processing, including responding to reinsurance counterparty inquiries regarding validation of complex claims to validate accuracy and ensure alignment with treaty parameters. Qualifications: •Bachelors degree •Demonstrated understanding of reinsurance administration, treaty mechanics and accounting implications. •Continuous improvement mindset with experience analyzing reinsurance administration processes, identifying control and efficiency gaps, and leading initiatives to improve treaty administration, reporting, and settlement activities. •Skilled at using quantitative and qualitative data to diagnose issues, evaluate alternatives, and communicate recommendations that drive informed business decisions. •Established user of reinsurance technology applications (e.g., TAI), Microsoft suite, particularly Excel. •Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and efficiently with a diverse group of subject matter experts. •Knowledge of SOX and audit requirements.
