Hiring: Lead Automation & Controls Technician Company: Nike Location: St Charles, MO Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 12:30:17 Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Office, PLC, Root Cause Analysis, SAP, Zoom About the job Experience: •5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in plastics manufacturing Required Skills: •Troubleshooting skills within the areas of mechanical, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics, robotics. •Advanced controls and automation knowledge including PLC, ladder logic, HMI’s, VFD’s, instrumentation, and calibrations. •A solid understanding of Microsoft office and computerized maintenance management systems. Experience with CMMS systems SAP or eMaint a plus. •Demonstrated capacity to train/mentor junior team members with focused subject matter expertise in either electrical or mechanical repair •Initiate and disable equipment as required by OSHA regulations and company safety procedures for machine activation and shut down •Maintain standardized work procedures for PLC troubleshooting, testing and automated equipment controls with several Manufacturing Engineering peers •Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogues and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms •Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all industrial production and mechatronics equipment Qualifications: •High School diploma or GED •Formal training in Electronics, Control circuitry and PLC’s or vocational, skilled trade or military training •Demonstrated capacity to read and understand electrical and fluid power schematics and detailed drawings •Skilled in trades of fabrication of industrial and manufacturing equipment •Able to operate fork truck, manual lift, and scissors lift •May be required to perform a wide variety of physical tasks which are generally basic, repetitive, and routine.
