Hiring: Layout Technician - B Shift Company: Magna International Location: Liberty, MO Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 13:01:31 Target Skills & Keywords : R About the job Experience: •3-5 years of related metrology, quality, dimensional inspection, or CMM experience •5 years of related metrology, quality, dimensional inspection, or CMM experience Required Skills: •Starting Pay: $35.23/hr + Shift Premium for Off-Shifts | Benefits Available Day One | B Shift •Program and operate CMMs, Keyence Scanners, portable CMMs, and other precision measurement equipment •Perform dimensional layouts and inspections to verify product conformance to engineering specifications •Analyze measurement data and prepare dimensional reports •Conduct capability studies and support statistical analysis activities •Calibrate hand tools, gauges, and inspection equipment •Evaluate check fixtures and coordinate corrective actions when issues are identified •Develop gauging instructions and inspection methods Qualifications: •Associate's Degree in a technical field preferred, or 3-5 years of related metrology, quality, dimensional inspection, or CMM experience •Proficiency with PC-DMIS software for CMMs, measurement systems, and portable CMMs •Strong experience using portable CMMs and associated measurement software •Full understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications •Solid functional working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), including Gage R&R, Bias, and Linearity studies •Strong mathematical aptitude, including geometry, trigonometry, and basic math functions •Basic knowledge of CMM and measurement equipment maintenance •Demonstrated capacity to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using technical and mathematical information •Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a self-driven approach to work •Demonstrated capacity to lift equipment up to 40 pounds unassisted Compensation: •Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
