Required Skills: •Possess strong mechanical abilities to provide maintenance duties involving minor equipment repair. Working knowledge of basic equipment repair/maintenance, including but not limited to welding, and knowledge of hydraulic systems. •Operational familiarity with formal safety procedures and ability to follow these procedures in order to maintain the safety of the work environment. •Above average computer skills and computer systems knowledge, and the willingness to continually learn new applications. •Demonstrated capacity to work closely with supervisors and other departments; willingness to learn new things; be a team player/leader; good communications skills and demonstrate a positive attitude. •Self-starter with the ability and willingness to complete leadership programs, as necessary. •Willingness to work any shift, work overtime and weekends. •Demonstrated capacity to use computerized Safety Data Sheets (SDS). •Candidates must have the ability to interpret and apply verbal and/or written instructions. Qualifications: •The job of Log Yard Equipment Operator is a Medium Duty job.
