Hiring: Laboratory Technician Company: Evonik Location: Tonawanda, NY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-02 17:57:02 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords: Laboratory Testing, Analytical Chemistry, Quality Control, FTNIR, KF Titration, Coulometry, Calorimetry, Spectrometry, Instrument Calibration, SOP Compliance, SAP, Hazardous Waste Management, Laboratory Safety, GMP, Data Documentation, Continuous Improvement Experience: - Four-year degree in natural science (e.g. Chemistry, Biology) with laboratory classes; OR - Two-year degree in natural science (e.g. Chemistry, Biology) with laboratory classes plus 2 years of laboratory work experience - Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Required Skills: - Perform in-process, raw material, and final product testing per established methods and quality standards - Working knowledge of FTNIR, KF Titration systems, Coulometry, Calorimetry, and Spectrometry - Accurate documentation of analyses in laboratory notes and electronic databases including SAP - Instrument calibration, standardization, and routine maintenance per SOPs - Sampling of materials from the manufacturing facility and documenting select manufacturing equipment - Monitor and manage laboratory hazardous waste streams (labeling, collection, disposal) - Strong mathematics, communication, computer, and organizational skills - Accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to interpret and communicate routine and non-routine test results - Working knowledge of laboratory safety, hazardous waste management, and strict adherence to SOPs - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs - Commitment to safety and environmental compliance, including use of required PPE Qualifications: - Degree in natural science (Chemistry, Biology, or related) as outlined above - Laboratory work experience (2 years required with a two-year degree) - Ability to work in a laboratory and production facility setting with exposure to chemicals and lab equipment - Willingness to follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements - Strong commitment to elevating safety and environmental compliance Compensation: - Pay: $28.41 per hour to start; potential for increase after probation and training completion - Comprehensive benefits package (subject to eligibility and plan terms): Medical, dental, and vision benefits; paid time off plan; 401(k) savings plan; Health Savings Account (HSA); Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs); Employee Assistance Program; voluntary benefits and employee discounts; disability benefits; life insurance; parental leave; tuition reimbursement Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
