Assists with interviews, record reviews, workplace visits, and evidence gathering under close supervision. •Learns to review payroll, personnel, and time records to identify potential violations. Assists with wage calculations and researching applicable laws and policies. •Learns to prepare case documentation and investigative summaries under supervision. Assists with corrective action recommendations and case preparation for administrative proceedings. Qualifications: •Learns to provide basic information on Maryland wage and labor standards laws to employers and employees. Assists with outreach activities and attends training to develop investigative knowledge and skills. •Learns to communicate professionally with employers, employees, and other stakeholders to obtain information and respond to routine inquiries under supervision. •Learns to prepare investigative notes, reports, and correspondence that accurately document interviews, record reviews, site visits, and other case activities. Assists with maintaining organized investigative files. •Performs all other duties assigned. •: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. •Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications. •Demonstrated capacity to speak and write fluent Spanish. •Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require operating a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
