Hiring: Kubernetes Administrator Company: Guidehouse Location: Washington, DC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-13 11:03:34 Target Skills & Keywords : .NET, AWS, ArgoCD, CI/CD, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, EC2, EKS, FedRAMP, FluxCD, Git, GitHub Actions, GitLab, GitOps, Grafana, Helm, IAM, IaC, Infrastructure as Code, Jenkins, Kafka, Kubernetes, Linux, Microservices, Prometheus, RBAC, RDS, Security Clearance, Terraform About the job Required Skills: •Kubernetes Operations: Maintain, troubleshoot, and monitor Kubernetes pods, services, and ingress controllers hosting Appian stateful workloads and .NET applications. •Deployment Automation: Assist development teams in packaging .NET applications (Windows or Linux containers) and deploying them via Helm charts and established CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions). •Platform Support (Appian): Monitor the health and connectivity of self-managed Appian platform layers (Engines, Data Server, Kafka/Zookeeper data planes) utilizing the Appian Operator on Kubernetes. •Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Maintain and update existing Terraform or CloudFormation modules to manage core AWS services (EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, and VPCs). •Security & Compliance Operationalization: Execute routine cluster updates, patch container vulnerabilities, and implement RBAC policies to ensure alignment with FedRAMP or NIST SP 800-53 security controls. •Observability: Configure alerts, dashboards, and log streaming using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch to minimize downtime. •Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. •Minimum of FIVE (5+) years of overall work experience. Qualifications: •Industry Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional •Appian Platform Architecture: Hands-on experience or familiarity with the Appian Operator on Kubernetes, including managing Appian Custom Resources (CRs) and monitoring underlying data plane components like Apache Kafka. •Modern .NET Ecosystems: Experience containerizing legacy .NET Framework applications into Windows containers or working with cloud-native .NET Core/6/8 microservices running on Linux containers. •GitOps & Continuous Delivery: Experience utilizing declarative continuous delivery tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD to sync and maintain cluster states directly from Git repositories. •The annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00-$141,000.00.
