Hiring: JCRC Associate Director Company: Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte Location: Charlotte, NC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-12 12:47:46 Employment Type: Full-time / Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : Asana, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Project Management About the job Required Skills: •The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), a department of the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte, serves as the primary community relations body for the organized Jewish community in Greater Charlotte, and increasingly across North Carolina. •In addition to leading the work in the Greater Charlotte area, the Associate Director supports the NC Statewide JCRC Director in executing statewide priorities, including the NC Jewish Coalition, statewide advocacy, and the expansion of proven Charlotte program models to other North Carolina communities, such as Outshine Hate. •Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across Greater Charlotte, including K through 12 education systems and administrators, local elected officials, interfaith and civic partners, and community-based organizations and coalitions. •Serve as one of Federation's primary points of contact with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) administrators on Jewish community concerns, including school-based antisemitism. •Represent the Federation independently at Charlotte-area meetings, programs, and community events, briefing the NC Statewide JCRC Director as needed rather than requiring their attendance. •Maintain the Greater Charlotte portion of the Community Mapping database, tracking relationship networks and engagement strategy. •Manage and implement JCRC and Outshine Hate programming in Greater Charlotte, including educator trainings and professional development, student and parent engagement initiatives, and community conversations and facilitated dialogues. •Serve as a trained facilitator or co-facilitator for small-group discussions. Qualifications: •In-depth knowledge of contemporary antisemitism and Jewish communal priorities. •Demonstrated ability to build and sustain trust with a wide range of people, including elected officials, civic leaders, clergy, and community volunteers. •Demonstrated capacity to think and plan strategically. •Demonstrated capacity to work effectively, build relationships, seek common ground, and achieve consensus among diverse stakeholders with varied views. •Represent the interests of the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte in a professional and respectful manner, even if those interests differ from your own. •Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including public speaking and varied forms of writing. •Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and deadline-oriented multi-tasking ability. •High-functioning, flexible, and adaptable in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. •Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. •Self-starter and creative pathfinder, able to navigate ambiguity, nuance, and complexity.
