Required Skills: •We are seeking a Network Engineer to support our client and perform LAN and Wi-Fi monitoring and support. This individual will be expected to work independently or semi-independently with a minimum of guidance or direction. •Tier 3 escalation point for complex LAN/Wireless issues escalated from Tier 2 engineers. •Configure and support wireless systems. •Architecture design, and systems implementation, of middle-of-row to core connectivity. IOS layer 2 and layer 3 configuration and support. •Provide guidance and mentorship to Tier 2 LAN Engineers. •Design, implement, and manage LAN/Wireless infrastructure projects. •Perform network performance monitoring and optimization. •Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams. Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of IT work experience; Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. •Minimum of 5 years of applicable network experience and support. •Proven experience with Networking, troubleshooting and customer service. •Expertise in LAN protocols, technologies, and architecture design. •Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to troubleshoot and resolve network issues. •Capable of installing, configuring, operating, and supporting Cisco and other vendor network equipment and products. In addition, must be capable of determining whether additional measures are required beyond those provided by the infrastructure tools being deployed. •Capable of configuring the networking parameters for operating systems and network devices. •Capable of reading syslog output, sniffer logs, security logs and networking sections of application and operating system logs. •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. •8 years of IT work experience; Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
