Hiring: IT Manager Company: Lifeworks Location: Westwood, MA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 16:31:42 Employment Type: Full-time / Remote Target Skills & Keywords : AI, Clinical Documentation, Electronic Health Records, Embedded Systems, Encryption, HIPAA, VPN, Vendor Management, Windows Server About the job Required Skills: •Leadership and Staff Development •Supervises the IT Support Staff position, including assignment of work, setting of priorities, performance evaluation, and day-to-day coaching. •Develops and executes a structured training plan that advances support staff from basic end user support toward independent administration of servers, network devices, and Microsoft 365 services. •Documents systems, configurations, and recurring procedures so that agency knowledge resides with Lifeworks rather than with an outside provider or a single individual. •Selects, implements, and administers an information technology ticketing system; establishes service standards, ticket handling practices, and escalation paths; and reports on service volume, response time, and performance to the Chief Financial Officer and senior leadership. •Serves as the agency’s subject matter expert on technology and advises senior leadership in clear, non-technical terms. •Vendor Management and Transition of Outsourced Services •Manages the relationship with the agency’s outsourced information technology provider, including scope, service levels, ticket escalation, invoicing accuracy, and performance review. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible information technology experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position. •Prior supervisory, team lead, or vendor management experience required. •Demonstrated hands-on administration of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint and OneDrive, Teams, and Entra ID identity, licensing, and security features. •Demonstrated administration of Windows Server in a cloud or hosted environment, including patching, backup, and recovery. •Solid functional working knowledge of network fundamentals and hands-on experience with routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, VPN, and multi-site connectivity. •Practical knowledge of information security controls and of the HIPAA Security Rule as applied to a covered entity or business associate. •Working understanding of artificial intelligence tools in a business setting and of the security, privacy, and data protection risks they present, with the ability to evaluate such tools and advise leadership on their safe use. •Support experience across Windows and Mac computers, tablets, and mobile devices. •Demonstrated capacity to supervise, train, and develop technical staff. •Demonstrated capacity to work independently, set priorities across competing demands, and function as both manager and hands-on technician in a resource-constrained environment.
