Hiring: Inventory Management Specialist Company: DLA Careers Location: Utah, United States Job Posted Time: 2026-09-14 14:39:50 Employment Type: Full-time About the job Required Skills: •Provides tailored customer support, maintains customer data, and responds to customer inquiries. •Reviews backorder status reports on a daily basis and takes appropriate action to escalate backorders no meeting customer requirements. •Receives and processes order cancellations, provides status updates and modifications, and conducts follow-up on customer receipt. •Investigates, coordinates and releases Sales Orders that inhibit flow through automated systems. •Applies DLA expedite policy and other standard operating procedures to request expedite actions within supply chains and/or emergency issuance from controlled stock. •Recommends use of alternative sources of supply when faced with long lead times and identifies potential sources of supply for emergency requirements for which there is an order. •Reviews performance metrics and takes action to improve processes when performance falls below goal. •Provides input to higher graded CSSs regarding cause analysis findings in areas requiring performance Improvement.
