Required Skills: •Interpretive Guides facilitate educational programming, serve as guides for areas of interest within a state park or other tourism location, and maintain facility standards. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, and physical labor in both indoor and outdoor environments. This is a full-time, entry-level position. •Lead guided hikes or other outdoor activities. •Plan and lead arts and crafts activities. •Perform trail, and animal enclosure upkeep, including repairs and cleaning. •Assist with routine groundskeeping and facility organization around Nature Center. •Greet and assist visitors with professionalism and courtesy. •Engage with guests in informed interpretation. •Assist in event setup and takedown. Qualifications: •Must be at least 16 years of age. •Physical requirements will include the ability to lead walking tours and navigate trails, regular bending, stooping, and carrying items up to 50 lbs. •Demonstrated capacity to work in various weather conditions. •Scheduled hours will require flexibility, including holidays, weekends, or events, based on the needs of the agency. •Some locations will require a valid Driver’s License.
