Required Skills: •Plan and conduct audits of departments, branches, functions, or processes to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls. •Examine adherence with SCCU policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and recommend actions to improve compliance. •Prepare audit workpapers and clear, unbiased audit reports that document findings, recommendations, conclusions, and actionable insights for Management. •Communicate timely and effectively with stakeholders regarding audit schedules, information requests, findings, and remediation efforts. •Maintain current knowledge of SCCU policies, procedures, federal and state laws, regulations, and internal audit industry standards and best practices. •Assist with audit tracking and follow-up, external audit and examination support, special investigations, and Audit Committee reporting as needed. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field, or equivalent experience in a financial institution, required. •1–3 years of experience in internal auditing and/or external auditing required; experience in a credit union or financial institution preferred.
