Hiring: Integrated Design Manager Company: Aligned Data Centers Location: Frederick County, MD Job Posted Time: 2026-09-17 10:32:43 Employment Type: Contract / On-site Target Skills & Keywords : AutoCAD, CAD, Change Management, Microsoft Excel, Project Management, Prolog About the job Required Skills: •Lead design management activities from land enablement handoff through turnover to Construction and Operations. •Serve as the primary integrator of architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, BMS, and other specialty systems. •Manage onboarding and oversight of third‑party design teams, including development and maintenance of design schedules and deliverable tracking. •Drive stakeholder review cycles by collecting, consolidating, and facilitating timely resolution of design comments. •Enforce design gating, internal ADC project requirements including CDE, CCL, DEC alignment, and approval processes. •Early identification, tracking, and resolving design variances and required technical approvals. •Maintain project risk registers and coordinate mitigation actions with project teams. •Prepare and maintain design metrics, submission tracking, permit tracking, and reporting dashboards. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent •5 or more years of experience managing commercial project design programs •Data center or other technical industry design or construction experience strongly preferred •Strong organizational, analytical, and coordination skills •Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, Smartsheets, and design management tools •Demonstrated capacity to interpret construction drawings and technical documentation •Strong written and verbal communication skills •Demonstrated capacity to travel out of home market up to 25 percent, on-site time may vary by project needs. •Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. •Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs workflows and procedures.
