Required Skills: •The Infection Preventionist will serve as the organization’s Infection Control Officer and be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the infection prevention program, including setting appropriate infection prevention goals and objectives for the organization. •Lead and oversee the review and revision of hospital policies and procedures. •The Infection Preventionist will be responsible for educating staff in the use of tools and techniques to reduce the risk of infectious diseases among patients, staff, visitors, and the community. •This will support the organizations’ key strategic priorities as they relate to infection prevention. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Public Health, Nursing, or related field, or equivalent experience. •Master’s degree preferred. •Current Professional Licensure/Certifications in accordance with degree/profession. •Certification as a Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is desirable.
