Hiring: Industrial Maintenance Technician 2 Company: STERIS Location: Saxonburg, PA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 14:38:31 Target Skills & Keywords : PLC About the job Experience: •Requires a minimum of three (3) years of related experience. •Requires ability to read, interpret, and practically apply electrical ladder diagrams and mechanical blueprints. •Requires working knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) or other types of process control equipment. •Requires ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate in English. •Requires ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision. Required Skills: •Hourly Rate $27-$33 depending on experience •Performs technical troubleshooting on a variety of modalities, technologies, and locations. •Performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on high volume, validated processing equipment. •Reviews preventative maintenance tasks for effectiveness and frequency and recommends any continuous improvement changes or Lean practices for implementation to management. •Diagnoses potential or actual equipment issues through observation, problem identification, and analysis, utilizing available information (e.g., cycle printouts, blueprints, schematics); after-which ensuring appropriate and efficient corrective action. •Ensures appropriate work instructions are developed and implemented. •This will ensure less experienced technicians can perform tasks as they become routine in nature. Contributes to operational efficiency by responding in person or by phone support to emergency maintenance calls on a 24/7 basis as assigned. •Assists in the creation and maintaining of a spare parts program. Strives for continuous improvement by analyzing new or alternative ways to improve operations; incorporates staff recommendations into analysis; responds to audit activities in a constructive manner, and uses findings to improve operations where possible.
