Required Skills: •Tetra Tech is looking for a full-time Industrial Hygienist based in Kansas City, MO. •The selected candidate will provide support on various environmental projects for both government and private sector clients. This position will primarily support nationwide commercial, Brownfields, due diligence, EPA and state level projects. •Conduct asbestos and lead-based paint surveys. •Provide asbestos and lead-based paint abatement oversight and air monitoring. •Prepare reports (including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and hazardous materials surveys), Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs), Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs), Analyses of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA's), and Remedial Action Plans (RAPs). •Collect soil, groundwater, surface water, and indoor air samples. •Interpret sample data and prepare data summary reports. •Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, or Engineering. •Asbestos Inspector and Lead Inspector licenses. •Completion of 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher training. If the successful candidate does not already possess this training, Tetra Tech will provide training prior to initiating regular work duties in the field. •Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal). •Highly motivated and customer focused. •Work well in a team environment. •Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. •Excellent communication, responsiveness, and customer service skills. •In Addition, The Following Is Required •Passing a criminal background check.
