Required Skills: •Workflow Optimization: Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant facilities, equipment layouts, and material handling systems. •Product Flow: Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel while optimizing product flow using Value Stream Mapping (VSM). •Continuous Improvement: Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and waste elimination utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. •Work Measurement: Conducts time and motion studies to develop, maintain, and provide accurate time standards and standard work instructions to the shop floor. •Capacity & Balancing: Utilizes analytical skills and simulation tools for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization, constraint management (Theory of Constraints), and line balancing. •Safety Integration: Partners with EHS to establish ergonomic and accident prevention measures through workplace design and manage technical training programs for production personnel. •Facilities Planning: Collaborates with facilities engineers in macro and micro layout planning, facility design, and the implementation of 5S methodologies. •Data Analytics: Develops and tracks KPIs regarding labor efficiency, machine utilization, and production throughput to drive data-based decision-making. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program •Mid-Level (Level 3): 5+ years of related work experience, preferably in an aircraft or aerospace manufacturing environment. •Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification. •Proficiency in AutoCAD or automated layout design software, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP). •Operational familiarity with aerospace quality systems (e.g., AS9100) and regulatory requirements is highly desirable. •This is a union-represented position. •We are a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
