Hiring: Industrial Electrician - North Carolina Company: Egan Company Location: Raleigh, NC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 16:04:24 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : PLC, Systems Integration About the job Experience: •80 years Private ownership and operations by employees who work in the company (not a holding company or private equity firm) Required Skills: •Install, maintain, and repair electrical and control systems in industrial and manufacturing facilities. •Bend and install EMT, IMC, and rigid conduit, along with cable tray and other industrial raceway systems. •Install power wiring, control wiring, panels, disconnects, motors, and related electrical equipment. •Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical documentation. •Install, integrate, and commission motor controls, VFDs, PLC and HMI hardware, and industrial automation equipment. •Troubleshoot electrical distribution, motor-control, and automation systems to identify and correct problems. •Ensure all work meets or exceeds NEC requirements, local codes, customer standards, and Egan quality expectations. •Follow established safety procedures and prioritize safety in every facility and on every jobsite. Qualifications: •Three or more years of industrial electrical experience is preferred. Equivalent experience with motor controls, VFDs, control wiring, or manufacturing electrical systems will also be considered. •Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with customers and work collaboratively within a team. •Commitment to working safely and following all company and jobsite safety requirements. •Valid North Carolina Electrical license preferred, but not required. •Work is performed in a variety of industrial settings, including climate-controlled manufacturing facilities and active industrial plants. You may be exposed to noise, dust, and varying temperatures depending on the project phase. •Demonstrated capacity to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods while installing conduit and control systems. •Demonstrated capacity to lift, carry, and push/pull tools and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. •Precise fine-motor skills required for landing small-gauge control wiring and working within high-density panels. •Comfort working at heights (ladders, aerial lifts, and scaffolding) and in occasionally confined industrial spaces. •Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and arc-flash protection as dictated by the task and OSHA standards.
