Hiring: Import Coordinator Company: Maxxima Location: Hauppauge, NY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-13 07:38:10 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Compliance, containerd About the job Experience: •3 years of experience in import operations, logistics, supply chain, or a related field Required Skills: •Track international shipments, maintain accurate import transaction records, prepare HS7/DOT forms, submit customs documentation to forwarders, and prepare and reconcile reports for management review •Provide international logistics support, coordinate skid layouts for ocean freight and container shipments in transit, and assist with resolving issues related to customs clearance, shipping delays, and international deliveries •Provide regulatory and administrative support, including scheduling, staying informed on international trade regulations and customs requirements, maintaining system updates (e.g., MAS), and assisting with landed cost estimates for air and ocean freight shipments •Support new product models and assist with the development and implementation of import procedures and policies for a growing product line •Partner cross-functionally with internal departments, including the warehouse, customer service, and marketing, to provide shipment status, estimated transit times, delivery updates, and information regarding shipping discrepancies •Performs other import duties as assigned Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred •Minimum of 3 years of experience in import operations, logistics, supply chain, or a related field •Solid functional working knowledge of international trade regulations and customs compliance, including basic familiarity with tariffs, duties, HTS classifications, customs clearance, and import procedures •Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability •Demonstrated capacity to work efficiently, accurately, and independently with minimal supervision •Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines •Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word •Operational familiarity with ISO 9001 and ERP (Sage), import, or logistics management systems is a plus Compensation: •$55,000 - $65,000 / year Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
