Manually loads all units with parts and removes parts from unloading trays. •Uses a limited variety of gauges, such as air, mechanical, plug, and runout, to inspect parts running on all units. SPC data charting as required. •Must be able to read prints. •Gauges a high percentage of finished parts and makes machine adjustments accordingly to maintain specified print tolerances. Gauging pertains to controlling size, taper, runout, etc. •Changes grinding wheels and turns diamond when necessary. •Keeps machinery and work area clean and orderly. Completes required paperwork.
