Hiring: Human Resources Generalist Company: Robert Half Location: Mentor, OH Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 19:02:46 Employment Type: Part-time / Remote About the job Required Skills: •Oversee daily human resources operations and act as the main point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters. •Partner closely with the plant manager to support workforce initiatives, address organizational needs, and promote effective people practices. •Manage the recruitment process from workforce planning through onboarding, including posting openings, sourcing candidates, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and supporting selection decisions. •Administer new employee onboarding and separation processes, ensuring employment documents, orientation steps, benefit elections, and offboarding materials are completed accurately and on time. •Support benefit programs by handling enrollments, employee updates, qualifying life event changes, and annual open enrollment activities. •Coordinate HR information that affects payroll for approximately 50 employees and additional part-time, contract, onsite, and remote team members, including status changes, deductions, and timekeeping-related items. •Process and maintain documentation related to unemployment claims, workers’ compensation matters, leave requests, attendance tracking, and other employee support needs. •Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential personnel records while helping ensure HR policies, procedures, and employee data remain current. Qualifications: •Previous experience in a broad HR Generalist role with responsibility across recruiting, employee relations, benefits, and HR administration. •Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple employee groups, including onsite staff, part-time workers, contract employees, and remote team members. •Solid functional working knowledge of unemployment claim handling, workers’ compensation processes, and employee leave administration. •Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and handle sensitive information with discretion. •Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and collaborating directly with operational leadership. •Effective communication and interpersonal skills for supporting employees, managers, and external partners. •Proficiency in HR administration, onboarding activities, employee relations support, and benefit-related processes. •They do offer a full benefits package: medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401K with a match, paid holidays, life insurance, and more Compensation: •$75,000 - $95,000 / year Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
